Visual identity

The new visual identity for Stockholms Kvinnohistoriska (Stockholm’s Women’s History) is based on two complementary headline typefaces. The so-called “Sister typefaces” are drawn by type designers Zuzanna Licko and Charlotte Rodhe, influential in their respective generation of design. By applying typefaces drawn by women, the identity works in the spirit of the museum and contributes to the history of typography with one more example of female authorship in a male dominated design field. The typefaces intertwine with each other, much like the relationship between two sisters.
